Oman Shipping finances $227 million tanker purchase

State-owned Oman Shipping Company has raised US$227 million to purchase 10 new vessels. Societe General has arranged and underwritten the innovative financing for the Medium Range Tankers due to be chartered by Shell Tankers Singapore for seven 7 years.
