Algonquin completes Bermuda Electric acquisition

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp (APUC) has completed the acquisition of Ascendant Group Limited, owner of Bermuda's sole electric utility Bermuda Electric Light Company Limited (BELCO). The all-cash offer of $36 per share represented an aggregate purchase price of $365 million.
